Ordered the Chinook Timberlake percolator because it was described as stainless steel with a glass top. When I received the percolator there were two clear problems. The top was plastic, not glass, and the lid did not close "seamlessly.". I was surprised at the poor construction. I read in another review that the lid didn't fit correctly, but I chalked that up to an isolated flaw. Anyway,ing story short, I ordered a Rapid Brew stainless steel and found it to be far superior. We are now happy percolator people.

This makes good coffee, and functions well as a percolator - but I spent a lot more on it compared to other brands because it said stainless steel. I don't believe the basket inside is stainless steel - so what's the point? The button on top is plastic also. It works, but if you're after very high quality materials this might not be the one for you. The handle is clad in wood which adds a nice rustic touch and makes it easier to handle off the stove which is one good feature.

I bought this a few weeks ago and I have now used it about 4 times. I wanted something long lasting that I could used to brew coffee for a few people when I go camping. I have now used it on the stove-top and on charcoal to make coffee. It percolates coffee and seems to work fine. It seems sturdy. It is easy to clean. The wooden handle is nice although it can still get too hot to touch. At this point I would recommend the product to others. I will update this review if I have any problems in the future.
